Matt Resnick

Matt Resnick is a reporter covering the Kansas Statehouse for State Affairs/Hawver’s Capitol Report. He has extensive experience covering county government, state government and K-12 education for several Kansas publications — including the Lawrence Journal-World, The Chanute Tribune and The Fort Scott Tribune — and the Nevada Daily Mail in Nevada, Missouri. Matt is a Topeka native, earning a bachelor’s degree from Washburn University in 2008 and a master’s degree from Xavier University in 2011. He has won numerous awards from the Kansas and Missouri press associations.
