Request a DemoState Affairs invites you to our virtual Town Hall on Georgia’s school bus crisis
State Affairs will be hosting a virtual Town Hall on May 16 to discuss the school bus crisis that many Georgia school districts are facing.
The free event runs from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. You can register here. Space is limited, so reserve your spot today.
Joining us will be the State Affairs editorial team, K-12 school leaders, and community members. You’ll be able to ask questions during the event, or you can submit your questions beforehand to [email protected].
This Town Hall comes on the heels of a three-month, two-part investigation into the school’s school bus system by senior investigative reporter Jill Jordan Sieder, who found there are many issues around the busing system that are significantly impacting the education of Georgia’s youth, from the aging school buses to bus driver shortages and a decrease in state funding for student transportation.
You can read Part I here and Part II here.
We hope to see you Tuesday.
