How to watch Holcomb’s State of the State speech
Gov. Eric Holcomb will give his annual State of the State speech Tuesday at 7 p.m., one day after lawmakers return to the Statehouse for the 2023 legislative session. Arguably, it’s Holcomb’s most important speech of 2023, and his main opportunity to talk directly to Hoosiers about his goals for Indiana.
The speech also comes on the heels of the unveiling of Holcomb’s legislative priorities, which included some big-ticket ideas for how the governor wants to spend billions of state dollars in the upcoming budget state lawmakers will craft. This will be Holcomb’s last budget-writing session before he is term-limited out of office at the end of 2024. The State of the State speech is his opportunity to make his last budget pitch to the general public.
