Mental health committee hears updates on suicide prevention efforts

The Special Committee on Mental Health learned Thursday that in 2021, Kansas had the 18th-highest suicide rate in the United States at 19.4 per 100,000 people, similar to neighboring states such as Oklahoma and Missouri.
