The first sign there was a problem with the Kansas judicial branch’s online network began early Oct. 12, when users had trouble signing into the system. Soon, it became clear that nearly every corner of the court’s online system had been affected by what officials called a “network security incident,” a situation that’s under investigation by state and federal law enforcement.
