Eleven of the 35 Kansas tax credits that were on the books from 2019 until 2021 went unclaimed in each of those years, and 10 more were claimed fewer than five times annually. Rep. Adam Smith, chair of the House Committee on Taxation, wants to remove some of those credits, cleaning up the state’s tax laws.
