Request a DemoGeorgia’s primary runoff is Tuesday; key congressional, state, local races to be decided
Georgia is close to cementing key races in the November general election. Tuesday’s primary runoff will decide congressional, state and local races.
Polls open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. statewide. Voters who are in line at 7 p.m. should be able to cast their ballots.
The runoff is a result of races that did not have clear winners in the May primary. The May primary sets the stage for the Nov. 5 election when Americans will vote for the next president. Tuesday’s runoff includes races for U.S. Congress, DeKalb CEO and Clayton County Sheriff as well as other contests. There are eight legislative seats on the ballot, which will determine lawmakers who will represent hundreds of thousands of Georgians next year.
