Job Description:

Develop and administer credit union grassroots network for political action and engagement with policymakers. Administer PAC fundraising operations for INCULPAC and ICUPAC. Research, analyze, and lobby legislation affecting credit unions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • In coordination with Vice President – Advocacy, work to develop/maintain political involvement programs that foster credit union engagement with policymakers.
  • Manage ongoing political involvement programs including Adopt-a-Legislator and Project Zip Code.
  • Advocate for credit unions with state and federal policymakers.
  • In coordination with Executive Vice President and Vice President – Advocacy, research and analyze proposed legislation for its impact upon credit union operations.
  • In coordination with Vice President – Advocacy and PAC Trustees, work to develop/maintain fundraising programs to fund the League’s PACs and maximize credit union support.
  • Develop and maintain lists of INCULPAC and ICUPAC contributors and coordinate PAC contributor recognition.
  • Attend political events, build and maintain good relationships with legislators.
  • Participate in League activities involving the Governmental Affairs Department.

Minimum Qualifications:

The minimum level of education and experience required to perform the job.

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 3-5 years of experience.
