Job Description:

The Eligibility Administration Manager (K0245583) Monitor clearinghouse mailroom vendor(s) compliance with contractual obligations. Review reports to identify areas of compliance and non-compliance. Track compliance through the development of a monitoring plan. Provide monitoring feedback to mailroom vendor management and KDHE management. Liaison between the clearinghouse mailroom vendor(s) and KDHE eligibility subject matter experts to answer policy, process, and system questions.

Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

Directly supervise one Sr Administrative Assistant.  Establish priorities and provide guidance to clearinghouse front desk staff, through the Sr. Administrative Assistant. Help resolve complex issues that arise. Facilitate synergy between clearinghouse administrative staff and other functional areas within the eligibility unit as well as mailroom staff.  Assist in the development of mailroom processes and project instructions for clearinghouse front desk staff. Identify process gaps and coordinate with the necessary parties to develop documented processes. Ensure staff are following established processes and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience in planning, organizing, and directing the work of a department, program, or agency.

Education:

  • High School, GED

Licensing & Certification:

  • Valid Driver’s License – Incumbent is required to have and maintain a valid driver’s license when operating a state vehicle, a private vehicle, or a rental vehicle for the benefit of the State.

Preferred Qualifications:

Any additional skills, experiences, or qualifications that would be beneficial, but aren’t strictly necessary.

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
  • Proofreading, editing, attention to detail
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting policy and guidelines.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Experience effectively communicating with individuals of diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience monitoring contractual compliance of vendors.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid programs and rules.
  • Experience in a mailroom environment or performing mailroom related tasks.
  • Experience with scanning and imaging equipment.
  • Experience in office management and administration.
  • Experience developing written guidelines for program staff to execute.
  • Experience providing guidelines and explaining instructions to program staff.
