Job Description Summary:

Faegre Drinker has an opportunity for a Government & Regulatory Affairs Intern to work with in our downtown Indianapolis office. Under limited authority, this role supports members of the Government Advocacy team with client services during the Fall 2023 semester. You will be an essential part of the team as you conduct research and monitor policy issues. In addition, this position will work with other talented individuals who share a passion for doing great work in the best interest of our clients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, collect, and research items related to interim study committees with Indiana General Assembly
  • Assist with trade associations and client communications
  • Help organize legislative events and client conferences
  • Remain informed of local and national news to provide timely updates on client issues
  • Assist Government Advocacy teams with administrative projects
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Communications, Business, or related field
  • Experience in the Government, Legislative or Political process preferred
  • Working knowledge of social media preferred
