Job Description:

The position (K0244849) Facilitates the effective and efficient operations of the office of the Director of HR/HR department. Serves as confidential staff in handling sensitive issues, director of department procedures and policies. Maintains the HR Director Calendar, schedules department meetings, takes minutes at meeting. Makes travel arrangements for department, maintain IT auto log and schedule. Maintains communications for departments.

Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:   Working with the Workforce Development Coordinator, help recruit, source, and manage the paid and unpaid internship program. Create and document process to track and process paid and unpaid interns – including confirmation of end date. Assist with posting and processing internal directives and requesting from departments their intern needs. Assist other intern processes as needed. Arrange travel for Career Fairs/College Visits.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Three years’ experience in general office, clerical and administrative support work.

Education:

  • High School, GED

Licensing & Certification:

  • Valid Driver’s License – Incumbent is required to have and maintain a valid driver’s license when operating a state vehicle, a private vehicle, or a rental vehicle for the benefit of the State.

Preferred Qualifications:

Any additional skills, experiences, or qualifications that would be beneficial, but aren’t strictly necessary.

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Business/Public Administration or related
  • Formal Office Training
