The Program Manager (K0241492) Manage and coordinate ongoing audit activities within State Medicaid Agency and across sister agencies. Activities include but are not limited to tracking of audit notifications, ensuring involvement of appropriate subject matter staff and that data extracts requested by auditors are completed. Serve as central point of contact for requests made by the various auditing entities (Kansas Office of Inspector General (OIG), Legislative Post Audit (LPA), Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (HHS OIG), and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) audits). This position will track the status of the audits, coordinate, and ensure responses to draft and final reports are submitted timely and monitor the status of corrective action plans (CAP) and subsequent implementation.
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Manage and coordinate Single State audit. Activities include but are not limited to tracking of audit activities, timely responses to auditor, coordination of all audit activities with auditors, fiscal agent, and appropriate state staff.
Minimum Qualifications
- Two years of experience in planning, implementing, and monitoring activities relevant to the agency’s programs. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
- One year insurance/healthcare experience in one or more of the following areas – auditing, claims processing, patient eligibility, provider credentialing, or clinical review.
Education:
- High School, GED
Licensing & Certification:
- Valid Driver’s License – Incumbent is required to have and maintain a valid driver’s license when operating a state vehicle, a private vehicle, or a rental vehicle for the benefit of the State.
Preferred Qualifications:
Any additional skills, experiences, or qualifications that would be beneficial, but aren’t strictly necessary.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
- Proofreading, editing, attention to detail
- Strong mathematical and statistical skills
- Ability to prepare accurate and concise reports.
- Strong organizational skills
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Experience with health information systems
- Knowledge of proper English, spelling, and grammar
- One year experience with Medicaid and/or Medicare programs
- Experience in development and implementation of auditing processes with Federal programs
- Experience in health insurance claims processing
- Experience with Medicaid patient eligibility
- Experience with provider credentialing
- 3 years’ experience in health care or health insurance clinical review
