Job Description:

The Provider Enrollment Specialist (K0241612) Monitor business operations functions to support the successful delivery of Provider Screening/Enrollment goals and initiatives. Must possess in-depth knowledge into the Fiscal Agent contract requirements, KanCare contract requirements, and policies and procedures related specifically to provider enrollment, credentialing, and contracting. Maintain expert level knowledge of Federal and State policy and regulation that grant the authority of the Provider Enrollment/Credentialing functions. Assist with Provider Enrollment/Credentialing responsibilities as required by the KDHE/DHCF, Federal and State law and regulations, and the KanCare contracts. Work closely with the Program Integrity Manager on provider enrollment/credentialing issues. Assist in monitoring day to day provider enrollment operations, issues, defects, and functions. Track operation issues from identification to completion. Coordinate and monitor communication efforts and projects performed by the Fiscal Agent and the KanCare MCOs.

Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

Recommend policy revisions, draft revisions, and review policies to ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations. Assist in the design, development, and implementation of new and existing policies. Participate in ongoing KMMS implementations, identifying issues and resolutions, and suggesting improvements/enhancements to the KMMS product.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School, GED

Licensing & Certification:

  • Valid Driver’s License – Incumbent is required to have and maintain a valid driver’s license when operating a state vehicle, a private vehicle, or a rental vehicle for the benefit of the State.

Preferred Qualifications:

Any additional skills, experiences, or qualifications that would be beneficial, but aren’t strictly necessary.

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
  • Proofreading, editing, attention to detail
  • Time management
  • Advanced problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of proper spelling and grammar
  • Effective communication both verbally and in writing
  • Customer service experience
  • Knowledge of the Kansas Medicaid program.
